Rimini, the classic Italian holiday
This is a city which is loved not just for a fun time in the summer, it is also bursting with history, art, and culture. It was the capital of the ruling House of Malatesta and the setting for a number of films by the great Federico Felini, who has a museum dedicated in his honour in the city of his birth, as well as a wealth of treasures from the Roman and Renaissance eras including the Arch of Augustus, the Bridge of Tiberius, Castel Sismondo, the Malatesta Temple, Piazza Tre Martiri, the Museo della Città, the ‘Surgeon’s House’ archaeological site, Amintore Galli theatre, and the modern art gallery Palazzi dell’Arte di Rimini.
