Traditional desserts

Our traditional desserts include the ciambella cake, crostata, a crispy fruit tart, and fritters. And if that is not enough, you can also add trifle to the list, known in Italian as an “English soup”! How does that taste?

The Cervia ciambella is notable for its shape, like a loaf of bread, and is a typical Italian sponge cake. It is made with eggs, flour, butter and sugar and is topped with pearl sugar. Enjoy it the way the locals do by dipping your cake in a glass of Albana white wine!

The Italian take on trifle is a creamy desert made with custard, and sponge fingers soaked in a local liqueur. Our versions of crostate and fritters also offer an unexpected twist. We add pine nuts, a tribute to our beautiful woodland.
