Christmas and New Year in Cervia and Milano Marittima
The twinkling lights, shopping among the boutiques in the centre with their shop windows lit up, the scents of tradition, Christmas music, the laughter of children. In December, you will have the feeling of being in a magical place.
The Christmas atmosphere pervades Cervia with an air of festivity, while Milano Marittima, the garden city, lights up with sparkling lights.
In anticipation of the surprises in store for the coming festivities, I describe what the atmosphere was like at Christmas 2023 and New Year's Eve 2024 on my Riviera.
Cervia lights up with shows, craft markets, creative workshops, and street food stalls that perfume the air with traditional sweet and savoury delicacies. Climb aboard the "Christmas Express", the little Christmas train that connects it to Milano Marittima, to savour this magical atmosphere. You will feel as if you are immersed in a Nordic fairy tale, surrounded by lights, ice rinks and fantastic creatures.
While the older ones stroll, perhaps looking for some presents, in Piazza Garibaldi, in the Elf Garden, children will have special encounters with elves, reindeer, ice queens and even the Grinch. Or, they can skate on the ice rink at the foot of the glittering Christmas tree.
