The Colours of Poetry. Twelve painters for Tolmino Baldassari
The Tolmino Baldassari Cultural Association, the Menocchio Cultural Association and the Maria Goia Municipal Library in Cervia present the exhibition The Colours of Poetry. Twelve painters for Tolmino Baldassari.
The exhibition pays tribute to Tolmino Baldassari, a very talented dialect poet, writer and also translator of classics from Spanish into Italian. Self-taught but with a solid classical education, Baldassari began his literary career in the 1970s, contributing significantly to Italian vernacular poetry and local culture. In addition to his literary production, he was socially committed as a trade unionist in the CGIL, serving as secretary of the Cervia Chamber of Labour and as a municipal councillor for several terms.
The exhibition proposes a dialogue between Baldassari's poetry in the Romagnola language and the pictorial works that, through an abstract language, interpret sensory transport, a symbol of life and love for one's land.
The poems are accompanied by the works of artists whose unique vision will enrich the visual and cultural experience: Paolo Ancarani, Onorio Bravi, Maria Brusaferro, Edipa, Claudio Irmi, Giampiero Maldini, Antonio Mazzari, Sergio Manganelli, Mara Mariotti, Luciano Medri, Bruno Retini and Remo Suprani.
