One Sky One World - Artevento Cervia
The special autumn edition of the International Kite Festival returns to celebrate Peace with a collective flight capable of uniting peoples and cultures.
One Sky One World will carry the message of peace with the colours of the kites on display at the Magazzini del Sale and those flying on the beach of Cervia.
Artevento thus celebrates the world day of flying for peace, conceived and promoted by the American kite flyer Jane Parker Ambrose following a historic meeting between Reagan and Gorbachev at the Denver Summit on nuclear disarmament in 1985.
An event that invites the public to take part in a spectacular collective action, paying homage to the spirit of the homonymous world day of flying kites for peace and celebrating it in the Romagna town consecrated as the “capital of flying art” thanks to its historic Festival.
The Festival village will be set up on the beach of Cervia, surrounded by free-flying kites that will animate it during the three days of the event.
Many professionals are expected for the show, including Albert Trinks, the internationally renowned Dutch kite flyer who created extraordinary “edo” kites inspired by Japanese tradition and dedicated to the defense of human rights. In addition to his most famous work, inspired by the portrait “Afghan Girl”, Trinks will also present two other kites inspired by the young Sharbat Gula, the refugee immortalized by the American photojournalist Steve McCurry.
