Antico Faro
It is one of the symbols of Cervia, of the salt and seaside city, portrayed in many paintings by painters, such as those of Giuseppe Palanti, founding father of Milano Marittima. Built in 1875, while maintaining its overall appearance, the lighthouse has undergone numerous changes over time: its height was increased for the first time in 1918, following the construction of rather tall buildings in its vicinity, and a second time when the damage suffered during the Second World War was repaired. At the beginning its light was 15 meters high above sea level, while it later reached 16.5 m. Initially with a fixed white light, it was then changed to intermittent light, to distinguish it from the ever-increasing glare of public lighting, finally "put to rest" and replaced by two electronic lights at the head of the piers.
