The Via Romea Germanica, in the Middle Ages, was not only an important route of faith, but an essential connection between Rome and the Germanic States.
Cervia is a fundamental stop on the route that accompanies the Holy Year and that from the ancient Pieve Santo Stefano di Pisignano, a destination for pilgrims since ancient times, touches the legendary sanctuary Madonna del Pino to end at the central Cathedral dedicated to the Virgin.
The Sanctuary Madonna del Pino has become one of the most voted places of the FAI campaign "Places of the Heart", while the Cathedral has been declared a Jubilee site.

First day Cervia:

• Arrival in Cervia 
• Visit to MUSA - Salt Museum

The museum is part of a journey through nature, history, culture, and explores the deep relationship between the Cervia area, water and the sea. Inside the museum it will be possible to support the FAI campaign "I luoghi del cuore" in favor of the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Pino. Visit to the historic center of Cervia and the cathedral, the Jubilee site Fish-based dinner in a typical restaurant on the canal 

• Overnight stay 

Second day Cervia - Ravenna:

• Departure from Cervia to Ravenna by train 
• Visit of Ravenna and its churches recognized as UNESCO monuments 
• Lunch at the central covered market of the city 
• Guided tour of Palazzo Guiccioli, home of the Byron and Risorgimento Museum 
• Return to Cervia by train 
• Free dinner 
• Overnight stay in a 3-star hotel in Cervia in a double room, bed and breakfast

Third day Cervia

• Guided tour by electric boat to the Cervia Salt Pan 
  The salt pan represents the southern station of the Po Delta Park, an ideal place for all birdwatchers and to admire the avifauna that rests and nests here. With a bit of luck, the splendid spectacle of pink flamingos flying over the salt pans will open. 
• Lunch box based on typical local products 
• Return of participants

The package includes: 2 nights in bed and breakfast in a double room; 1 lunch box with typical local products; 1 entrance to MUSA - Salt Museum; 1 fish dinner in Cervia; 1 lunch in Ravenna; 1 entrance to Palazzo Guiccioli, 1 entrance to the Unesco monuments of Ravenna; 1 guided excursion by electric boat to the Cervia salt pan.
