Cervia plays host to the Italian leg of the world’s toughest and most prestigious triathlon circuit, Ironman Italy Emilia Romagna.
The event draws thousands of athletes from all over the world to the Riviera to take on three classic disciplines: a 3.86 km swim, a 180.26 km bike ride through the Parco Naturale delle Saline and the area inland of Cervia as far as Bertinoro, and concluding with the 42.195 km marathon run which takes in the best-known parts of Cervia and Milano Marittima.
This thrilling race takes place in the 'Land of Triathlon', a place of art, well-being, culture, sport, and fine food.
