The race gets underway before dawn on the beach in Cervia, as the triathletes dive into the sea for a 3.8 km swim. After the first leg, the Ironman race continues with the most scenic part: the competitors climb onto their bikes to ride 108 km through the Parco Naturale delle Saline, passing magnificent pink flamingoes, shimmering bodies of water, and the famous salt pans.
The race ends with a marathon-distance run which takes in some of the best-known parts of the resorts of Cervia and Milano Marittima. All of the athletes who reach the finish line will have definitely earned the right to call themselves an "Ironman”.
It is a unique weekend, celebrating this toughest and most incredible of sports. We look forward to welcoming you for this whirlwind of emotions!
