Highlights
The creation of the museum has as its main purpose the protection, conservation and valorization of objects, images and documents that are witnesses of the salt civilization. The museum represents a place of stimulation and reflection that enhances and promotes the study and knowledge of the material and immaterial heritage of the city with the aim of preserving memory and stimulating interest in the past and history of the city. Inside there are very important objects and testimonies, including the burchiella, a flat-bottomed iron boat used until the end of the 1950s for the transport of salt, the ancient wooden tools used for production and harvesting as well as many objects used by salt workers.MUSA also hosts a beautiful photographic collection, as well as temporary exhibitions and a children's space. Since 2013, an important archaeological section has been opened which recalls Cervia Vecchia and bears witness to the traces of ancient Ficocle.

SUMMER: from 1 June to 15 September every evening from 8.30pm to midnight
WINTER: from 16 September to 31 May Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 2.30pm to 7.00pm
